1. Northern Anhui Artery: S63 Expressway Bengbu Section, Weaving a Plain Transportation Network
1.1 Project Overview
As a key axis linking regional development in northern Anhui’s revitalization, the Bengbu Section of S63 Huaiyuan-Fengtai Expressway connects multiple transportation nodes precisely. Starting north of Chenji Town and northwest of Junwang Village, it connects seamlessly with G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway, intersects with Wumeng Expressway to the south, passes west of Bengbu Civil Airport, and crosses multiple water systems including the Beifei River, Wo River, Qian River, and CiHuai New River. After passing east of Tangji Town and west of Changfen Town, it finally connects with the Huainan Section of S63 Huaiyuan-Fengtai Expressway at the Bengbu-Huainan city boundary west of Huangwei Village, forming a north-south transportation corridor.
With a total length of approximately 55.431 kilometers, the project features significant scale and construction complexity:
- 39 bridges crossing rivers, ditches, and roads;
- 7 interchanges (including 1 reserved), with 3 hub interchanges for rapid connection with surrounding expressways and 4 service interchanges (including 1 reserved) for convenient travel of local residents;
- Supporting facilities including 1 service area, 4 ramp toll stations (including 1 reserved), 1 management sub-center, 1 maintenance area, and 1 traffic police barracks.
The 3-year construction period will drastically shorten travel time between Bengbu and Huainan, improve the efficiency of agricultural product export and industrial raw material transportation in northern Anhui, and inject strong momentum into regional economic coordinated development.

2. Southern Anhui Engine: Shitai Railway Special Line, Activating Mountainous Area Development
2.1 Project Overview
While S63 Expressway serves as the development axis in northern Anhui, the Shitai Non-Metallic Mine Railway Special Line acts as the core engine driving economic take-off in southern Anhui’s mountainous areas. Listed in the national railway special line construction list as a key provincial and municipal project, it is located in Shitai County and Dongzhi County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. Centered on newly built railway special lines and belt corridor projects, it specifically serves the freight needs of mines in Shitai and Dongzhi, opening up the "last mile" for resource transportation from mining areas.
With an estimated total investment of RMB 5.906 billion, the project includes diverse and complex construction contents:
- A 47.878-kilometer railway special line (2.707-kilometer main line, 5.171-kilometer branch line, and 7.311-kilometer reserved branch line for the long term);
- A 3.999-kilometer belt corridor for transportation between Dongliu Station and Dongliu Port Wharf, reducing mountain transportation difficulties;
- A high bridge-tunnel ratio of 62.02% due to complex terrain in southern Anhui’s mountainous areas, including 40 newly built bridges (total length 19.949 kilometers) and 11 tunnels (total length 10.094 kilometers);
- 7 stations (Xiaohe Station, Waiwu Village Station, Dianlong Station, Wangjie Village Station, Dongbian Jiang Station, Dongliu Station, and Shenjialing Station), including 4 loading stations and 3 passing stations, forming a comprehensive freight transportation network.
It is estimated that the project will drive local economic growth of RMB 26.581 billion and increase intangible asset investment by RMB 5.75 billion after completion, truly becoming a "line of development, revitalization, and take-off."
